As part of our global initiative, Tohoku University plans to launch International Joint Graduate School Programs with partner universities around the world. The program aims to nurture students to become globally minded and responsible individuals.
The Neuro Global Program will begin in 2018. It will bridge the Graduate School of Life Sciences and Graduate School of Medicine, and cover a variety of fields in neurobiology and neuroscience, as well as life and medical sciences such as genome/metagenome science, epidemiology, neurology, psychiatry, neurosurgery, ophthalmology and otolaryngology.
Candidates of the program will enter a 2-year masterprogram plus a 3-year PhD course of the graduate school. Short or long term internships in host laboratories overseas are available with financial support (travel and accommodation costs during the internship) after passing a Qualifying Examination. Candidates will receive the Neuro Global Certificate in addition to acceptance of a thesis from the graduate school they belong.
We welcome bright young stars to make the world their stage!
