The joint symposium with KU Leuven, Belgium was held on 6-7 June, 2023.

KU Leuven and Neuro Global International Joint Graduate Program has established a strong relationship since its foundation in 2018.
Professor Peter Janssen has been in charge of the mandatory NGP lecture "Systems Neuroscience" every year and has performed as an evaluator for the final exam of the program, QE2.

There were 10 participants from Tohoku University (including one online participant) and 13 speakers from KU Leuven and other Belgian institutions.
At the symposium, presentations were given on various research topics ranging from ** to **. After the symposium, a lively discussion on cooperation in both education and research, as well as the future development of joint research.
In addition, Rector of KU Leuven, Dr. Luc Sels, visited the symposium and expressed his wish to collaborate with Tohoku University.
