アカデミック英語集中講義

本Neuro Global国際共同大学院プログラムでは、英国レスター大学から講師2名を招聘し、研究活動を行ううえで必須となる英語の活用技術に関して10日間の集中講義を提供しています。

講義の大部分は英語論文の基本的な構造や英文に一貫性を持たせるための表現技法などをテーマとし、講師と受講生および受講生同士の対話や議論を中心にして進められます。これらのテーマに相対し、受講生が自身の考えを聴衆に向かって英語で表現しようと努力することによって、研究活動に有用な英語の活用技術を理解し身に付ける一助となります。講義初回の時点で、受講生には自身が取り組んでいる研究テーマを紹介するための研究ポスターを作成する課題が与えられ、期間中に学ぶ知識の実践を意識しながら能動的に取り組みます。講義最終日には、2週間の集大成として学会発表を模したポスター発表会が行われます。全ての受講生が自信を持って自身の研究テーマを紹介している様子は講義の成果の現れであり、毎回、印象的な光景となっています。
